Annabelle Frazier, Ph.D., LPC-S is a licensed professional counselor supervisor and assistant professor of criminal justice at the University of Southern Mississippi. Her private practice, Emerge Calm, serves helping professionals navigating burnout, trauma, and high-stakes systems work.

Dr. Frazier holds an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology & Prevention Science, with graduate certificates in Forensic Criminology and Advanced Counterterrorism & Homeland Security. Since 2011, she has worked in child welfare, disability services, reentry support, community mental health, and indigent defense support. Currently, she is a full-time faculty member at the University of Southern Mississippi, conducting research on decision-making science and forensic psychology, and teaching courses in criminal justice ethics, family violence, and criminal legal system policy. Dr Frazier’s recent clinical training credits include a full day of trauma and forensic practice training for the Wisconsin Public Defender, a workshop on Impostor Syndrome for Lighthouse Professional Business Women’s group, and documentation and record-keeping trainings for the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselor’s Association. She has also provided training to the Massachusetts Indigent Defender and Lesley University’s clinical supervisor training series.
